This is a great idea if you want to keep ants, and other creepy crawlers from the spoilage. What we ask is that your glass containers are empty and when possible, please remove any non-glass objects such as metal or plastic lids (those can be added to your regular recycling).
Our fancy machines can handle the labels and stuck corks or lids.
Nope, we're laser-focused on glass like a cat chasing a laser pointer!
Here’s a short list:
Unsorted Glass Bottles, Whole or Broken
Plate glass
Ceramics
Laminated glass such as automobile windshields, bullet-proof glass, architectural glass such as glass doors, and light-bulbs are a few examples of items that should be left out of your bin.
You can mix those suckers up! Our team will handle the sorting process to ensure that the glass is properly separated and recycled according to its type and quality.
We accept a wide range of glass items for recycling, including glass bottles, jars, beverage containers, and more. We only ask that you "try" to remove any caps, lids, or labels before placing the glass items in the designated recycling container. You can find more information under our FAQ Section on our website.
While we appreciate your enthusiasm for smashing some glass, we recommend against crushing glass on your own before recycling it through our service. Our recycling process is optimized to handle whole glass items efficiently and safely. Crushing glass at home can create sharp edges and small shards that may pose safety risks during handling and transportation. Additionally, crushed glass may mix with other materials, making it more challenging to separate and recycle effectively. To ensure the best outcome and safety for everyone involved, we kindly ask that you leave the glass intact and let us take care of the recycling process. If you'd like to arrange a visit to our site and get out some frustration while enjoying the satisfaction of watching the magic of creating TerraGlass sand, contact us and we'll see what we can do!
We partner with restaurants, bars, hotels, event venues, breweries, wineries, distilleries, and municipal programs—any business that generates significant glass waste.
